Here are some tips that will help you take great pictures of your baby:
- Prepare the Area! Avoid using a flash, when possible. Choose a natural lit location and cover with a light colored blanket. A sofa works well! Dress your baby in light colored plain clothing and lay on blanket. Remember- Keep it Simple!
- If using a digital camera, use the Highest Quality setting possible. When saving the photo to your computer choose a High Quality JPEG option. We prefer a resolution of 300 and an image size of, at least, 800 x 1200 pixels. Make sure the baby is in focus. Please allow us to do any cropping, color correction and spot editing needed to make your shot perfect. If you have something special in mind, please don’t hesitate to let us know when you order!
- Close-ups are a great way to capture personality. Kneel down to get on your baby’s level. Try moving around to capture pictures from a variety of angles. Some of the best pictures are when baby is sleeping, yawning or playing.
- Remember to get some close-ups of fingers, hands, feet, and toes.
- Feel free to send more than one photograph,. We can change photographs to black & white, sepia tone, or hand-color tinted. E-mail your high resolution digital photographs to photos@peachtreeprints.com, or send your pictures to Peachtree Prints, PO Box 475, Holly Springs, NC 27540.
- If sending professional photographs, you must have the permission of the photographer to reproduce the image. By sending your photographs, you acknowledge that you own the rights to the photographs and give Peachtree Prints permission to reproduce the images.
